Tecmo Koei issued a voluminous set of new screenshots and artwork by Dynasty Warriors 9 introducing and reveal another five officers: Pang De, Han Dang, Guan Suo, Bao Sanniang, and Zhang Chunhua and reveals some new and interesting information about the usage and weapon customization system. First of all weapons can be riforgiate by equipping up to six gems that reinforce the attack or defense and that lend a certain attribute such as fire, ice, Thunder, wind, poison and power .

The weapons are classified according to rarity ( common, rare and epic ) and can be bought from fabbri, obtained through special scrolls or craftate with materials collected through processing. Each character can use any kind of weapons but will have a better effect only if the report is assigned his weapon of choice.
