As we know, by now the Call of Duty series alternates its annual outputs with titles developed by three different teams, each of which spends three years of development at each game: Infinity Ward , Sledgehammer and Treyarch . And while Infinity there recently projected into the future and Sledgehammer will take us back to November in the Second World War , Treyarch has concluded two years ago, the trilogy of Black Ops; What then will bring their game coming out next year?

According to a job advertisement published by the studio, the CoD of 2018 could be set today. This is because, between the requirements of the ad, the study suggests that will be fostered who also has a " deep knowledge of firearms and modern military technology ".

That Treyarch is working on some sort of new Modern Warfare ? If so, this could mean that Activision is dividing the three teams on separate historical periods: Sledgehammer to the second world war, Treyarch for the modern era and Infinity Ward for the futuristic war.

If so it will be, we'll know for sure only in 2018, when spring normally Activision reveals new games in the series. Stay tuned!
