Imaginati Studios, a London-based studio recently formed by the motion capture film House Imaginarium Productions already responsible for animations of all apes in planet of the apes movie series, announced the development of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier with release planned for the autumn.

Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier will use the same motion capture technology used in movies to give the monkeys game protagonists of lifelike movements and expression, and will set about an year after the rise of the planet of the apes by focusing on a faction of monkeys who have taken refuge in the Rockies, away from war between monkeys and humans that is raging. At the approach of winter, however, the monkeys are forced to descend into a Valley inhabited by humans to get more food, and this will create new clashes. Players will control both humans that the monkeys and the choices made will lead to several possible endings.
