Rumor: a remaster or reboot of Midnight Club transpires from Xbox Live

Here's an unexpected news: according to a recent leak looks like Rockstar Games is working on an Edition remaster (or reboot) of Midnight Club racing series underground open world (and direct heir of the unforgettable Midtown Madness for PC) that saw the departure of several episodes on two generations ago.

The leak comes directly from Xbox Live: someone has noticed that a developer Rockstar Games, having the gamertag TweedyCrowd727 , was playing on Live right on " Midnight Club ", complete with a logo shown on the Xbox dashboard:

The developer has also carelessly shared two screenshots of the game menu, that users have readily captured before they were removed from the Live account, and showing the Xbox One interface elements in addition to the indicator of the logged in user on Xbox Live (not present at the time of the games on the original Xbox), demonstrating that this is not a title of the first Xbox's backwards compatible (although the first Midnight Club was never released on Xbox but the series arrived on the Microsoft console only from the second chapter).

But there's more: one of the two images of the game shows the tail lights of a modern Mustang, which obviously did not exist over 10 years ago. This makes us think that it is not a simple remaster but it could be a real reboot with modern cars.

In short, it seems that Rockstar is working on an unexpected surprise for lovers of free-roaming urban racing: waiting for confirmation or denial, here are the two images leaked.
