Respawn: Titanfall 2 internally even beyond the Xbox One render as fast as 4 k X

As we know many of the games already on the market will receive patches at the exit of the new console Xbox One X in order to make the most of the hardware; among them will be Titanfall 2 , but how it will use the additional power?

The answer to that question comes directly from one of the developers of Respawn Entertainment, which posting on NeoGAF forums known with the nickname of "DK05" explained that the game will use the new console a dynamic resolution rendering that will play at resolutions higher than 4 k in order to always use at 100% the GPU; the developer explained that, during the first practice sessions of the title on Xbox One X, the game has reached even the resolution of 3200 p, which we might call "6 k", if there was a similar standard. All while keeping the frame rate of 60 fps.

What is the point of this? Applying the familiar technique of supersampling , Super Resolution , or as it is called nVidia; the image is rendered at higher resolutions than the console output, to then be scaled to 4 k so they can enjoy a greater level of detail and anti-aliasing. And thanks to the use of this technique, even 1080 p TV owners who want to play with Titanfall 2 on Xbox One X will have strong graphic improvements due precisely to the fact that the game is rendered internally at much higher resolutions.

When it comes to dynamic resolution against Xbox One X , often thought to be a negative factor because games could drop below 4 k, but actually in cases like this is an advantage, because it will render over 4 k with improvements to the image caused by supersampling it. Obviously in order to assess these advantages we will have to wait to see the work, about 4 k screens, such games.
