Game Informer confirms Assassin's Creed Origins; date, first details and images

The US magazine Game Informer ought to publish the new issue at the E3 to reveal the first details about a game whose announcement was expected at the event, but someone managed to have an advance copy of the magazine revealing the secret: the new issue of the magazine is dedicated to Assassin's Creed: Origins .

The long rumoreggiato new episode in the saga of the killers is therefore now official, we discover that the 27 October with support to Project Scorpio (the magazine's journalists say we played on Scorpio in native 4 k and the performance was more solid than on PC) and we learn first details. We list below the most important points:

  • Confirmed the Egyptian setting will be set during the time of Cleopatra . This means--but not confirmed--we might see even his contemporaries like Julius Caesar
  • The main character is called Bayek , but it won't be the only playable character: there will be a second kept it a secret for now (according to previous rumor should be a woman)
  • The world will be more dynamic : it seems that Ubisoft has taken elements from Far Cry, putting wild beasts that will attack both we and our enemies, as we can see them fight each other
  • You can swim underwater , with the possibility of finding treasures among submerged ruins and shipwrecks, and ride both horses and camels
  • The game system has a connotation more RPG , with experience points and three skill trees: Seer, Warrior, Hunter. You can also customize the appearance of the hero
  • The protagonist can use his shield to deflect enemy arrows, and be allowed to reuse those stuck in the shield
  • There will be a component of exploration of ancient tombs , with lots of puzzles. There will be approximately 20 throughout the game
  • Development of the game has started before BC Unity
  • The game will feature an entirely new combat system , with new enemy AI: attacks will now be entrusted to trigger and right dorsal, while enemies will no longer "the row" to attack us. Fighting we will fill an indicator of adrenaline, and after it is full we can unleash lethal attacks. You can equip two bows and two different melee weapons, also we can also fight with bare hands; of course you may also see the hidden blade , that we can strengthen
  • There will no longer be a mini-map, but there will be a Navigation compass style The Elder Scrolls that indicates the direction of the objectives on the top of the screen
  • There will be a button to run: how fast will depend on the pressure of the analog stick
  • The Eagle's view is replaced by a short pulse which highlights the objects around us
  • Bayek will always carry an Eagle called Senu that we will be able to hover flight checking directly to analyze your surroundings
  • You can scramble up everywhere : not just on buildings but also on mountains and rocks
  • There will be several cities both large and small sizes, including Alexandria and Memphis
  • All characters will have day/night cycles , with activities that will be differentiated according to the timetable: work, sleep, eat, and so on
  • You can improve your accessories with a crafting system
  • It will be possible to participate in the fighting in arenas
  • The storyline to the present day will be present, but the developers don't want to disclose it now
