After producing several successful TV series, it seems that Netflix want now compete head to head with the Iron Throne, dedicating himself to a franchise dark-fantasy: The Witcher . The famous TV streaming service has announced the production of a serial dedicated to Geralt of Rivia, the character created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and made popular by video game series by CD Projekt RED.

The author himself will act as a consultant in the production of the series, just like George r. r. Martin did with the HBO series devoted to his creature.

For now, nothing is known of the project: actors, plot (if will start from the beginning of the series, follows a particular cycle or whether it will be designed specifically for the series) and release date are still unknown. We hope however that Netflix does way to provide us with an exciting and authentic representation of a saga so beloved!
