Ghost Games talks about the new Need for Speed, will be playable offline

As already known, this year will see a return on our Need for Speed series consoles, with a new title developed by the Swedish Ghost Games. While the EA Play event, waited in a month just before E3, will see the official revelation of the title, the developers have now released a message as they start to tell us about the characteristics of the title, announcing amongst other things this will be playable offline single player enthusiasts.

The obligation to play always connected-along with the inability to pause the game--was in fact one of the most criticized aspects of the previous episode of the series, and the developers claim to have received criticism from users in this regard. But we leave you directly at the Ghost Games: good reading!

NEED FOR SPEED 2017: we're back!

We'll talk about personalization, offline gaming experiences and what you can expect in 2017 of Need for Speed.

Hello everyone

We thought we'd go and talk a little about a subject that we know to be a passion your as ours: the next Need for Speed .

At this point many of you may have heard that here in Ghost Games we are developing a new title. We are happy to announce that by the end of 2017, enjoy the new Need for Speed .

We will have many more details to share with the approach of EA GAMES in June. Meanwhile, we can offer some insight on different aspects of Need for Speed ; What do they mean for you, for us as developers and for the series as a whole.

First of all, we want to thank you. When we launched the reboot in 2015, we were impressed with the amount of feedback that you have provided. Your passion for Need for Speed was very clear and it is largely thanks to this that today we are still here.

Customizing ... We love it, you love, all love him. How can you not love it? We assure you that we are working to give adequate space to the customization in the series. Will not disappear of course, indeed will play a key role as always, in the next game and afterwards.

Now lets talk about some of the policemen. There is nothing better than to take part in a chase and feel the steering wheels on your heels as you speed through the city. Fugitives in head, cops who Chase, and then suddenly BAM! A mega armoured car comes out of nowhere and gets thrown into the fray. What do you say?

Whether you're admiring the medium that you finished customize or competing in an event between the canyons, you'll need a world not only beautiful to look at, but it gives you the space to do what you love. We will get even more action and we'll give you a chance to devour all the asphalt (or gravel) that you want.

Exceeds the curve with a drift to burn rubber, gases and launched into an epic leap to escape the cops. We build the world, but what you do in that world is the most exciting for us.

We close with one of the most discussed issues of the previous title: need to be online to play. Is a point which is incredibly close to my heart. When a topic attracts so much attention and feedback, we cannot fail to take note.

Then, when the day of release the next Need for Speed, you can play in single player experience completely offline. Before you ask, this means you can pause the game.

Need for Speed has a fascinating history and we feel honored us Ghost for the privilege of pushing it. See you soon.

To a bright future together.
