Phil Spencer Talks: JRPG, studies first party, exclusive, backwards compatibility and more

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has just dedicated to one of his famous answer sessions questions from fans on Twitter, releasing more or less large clues about the future of Xbox. Let's see what he spoke this time.

First, Spencer wished to respond to some users worried about the lack of Japanese titles on Xbox One, reiterating that from that point of view his recent visit to Japan has been very productive and revealing that the console will see more JRPG in future.

Talking about games in General, however, Spencer has agreed with the fact that Microsoft should seek to deploy their own exclusive areas throughout the year rather than concentrating them all at the end of the year, as done so far; contrary to what many say, actually the House of Redmond has released in the last 12 many exclusives, ben 6 starting with Quantum Break , but four of these ( didn't ReCore any , Forza Horizon 3 , Gears of War 4 and Dead Rising 4 ) were released between September and December, something that left the Q1 discovered with only Halo Wars 2 . Spencer is believed still very satisfied with the attach rate rate of Xbox One, namely the average of games and DLC sold for each console.

With regard to the need to enhance the production of studies first party , Spencer explained that this is currently one of the main focus of the team and that will be very important for Project Scorpio present a line-up first party to the height (obviously such games will arrive on Xbox One). The manager explained that so far the company wanted to concentrate primarily in "straighten" the console and the OS, but what time commitment will be infused into producing games first party.

About the new features coming in the future, Spencer revealed that in the coming weeks will come one of the most anticipated games backwards compatible from him ever (but didn't want to give feedback on the possible arrival of Black Ops II), while soon the Games Store wish list feature, which will allow us to score the games that we want more to receive notifications when these get discounts as already happens on Steam.

We look forward to further revelations, or even more concrete news about future plans of Microsoft!
