Hajime Tabata, the game director for Final Fantasy XV, in an interview revealed that the development team is considering several options for updating the game and to optimize it so for Project Scorpio , the new "Xbox One enhanced" and with full support for 4 k native who will be launched later this year.

Tabata did not reveal any details about the options that the team is currently considering, he also added that it is still unclear how the updated version of Final Fantasy XV for Project Scorpio will differ from the one currently available for PS4 Pro.
