ID @ Xbox: the 10 most interesting titles of 2017

The largest and most eagerly awaited releases of the year are now well known to everyone, but as fans know how many jewels they can hide in the production of the indie scene, with titles which often fail to provide us with more innovations, new ideas and creativity compared to AAA productions. Let's see then what are the titles that we think most promising @ Xbox ID and to keep an eye on incoming ones in 2017. Read on!

# 10-8 form.

Developed by MixedBag Turin, form. 8 is proposed as a boon for fans of the genre metroidvania scrolling: featuring an intriguing look that combines colorful backgrounds and black silhouette in the foreground, the game sees us check a tiny probe lost between the cavities of an alien planet, where he must try to survive and discover the history of the place. As in all self-respecting metroidvania the game world is completely open, but some areas are accessible only after acquiring powers or weapons needed to move forward. The game will be devoid of dialogues: the entire narrative is entrusted to images, sounds, and gameplay.

# 9-Yooka-Alis0710

With the demo Toybox we finally got the final confirmation: Yooka-Alis0710 is the spiritual sequel to Banjo-Kazooie that we waited and dreamed of as way too long. The game features the same bizarre and self-referential humor, the same gameplay combination of acrobatic abilities of the two protagonists, the same soul "collectathon" in search of hidden trading in hell platform. We don't want the hilarious Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts , but this is the title that seems to finally do justice to this genre all too forgotten.

# 8-Tacoma

The kind of "walking simulator" is perhaps becoming too inflated, but if a proporcene a new one are the authors of that masterpiece which has Gone Home, then the game deserves our full attention. This first-person sci-fi adventure is still shrouded in a deep Mystique, but already we can see a fascinating world that remembers the locations of BioShock Infinite, though hundreds of thousands of kilometers from our planet, as we explore a space station inhabited only by memories of the crew who had inhabited.

# 7-Blackwood Crossing

Potentially one of the most unique gaming experiences that, hopefully, we will play this year that has just begun, is to Blackwood Crossing , a first-person adventure that tells a bizarre story but warm rendition by the protagonists, brother and sister orphans with a very strong bond. With artistic choices inspired by games like Life is Strange and movies like Donnie Darko, there are serious chances that Blackwood Crossing could become a new viral phenomenon like the aforementioned Episodic title Dontnod.

# 6-Aaero

Aaero is one of those games that try to create if I were a developer, so represents me. The shooter of Mad Fellows presents a musical gameplay strongly influenced by the works of Tetsuya Mizuguchi Rez and Child of Eden , but with much more dynamism and an artistic style that combines many more styles, combined with a modern soundtrack with artists the likes of EDM Flux Pavilion and MUST DIE!. And most importantly, everything seems incredibly funny. We really hope it is, because it is a type of game from too little on the market!

# 5-"Ghost of a Such

The first reactions of the Early Access on PC are exciting: this curious role playing game coming probably on Xbox One during the year is incredibly appealing primarily on the face, and it's no surprise considering that the project leader is a veteran of animation who also worked at DreamWorks. The game offers us a dark world made of anthropomorphic animals where we will inspect a ... Mickey, forced to use stealth mechanics to navigate in a world where almost everything is bigger and dangerous about him. Developers have hinted at the possibility of being able to see the title in Game Preview on the console Microsoft: we keep our fingers crossed!

# 4-Below

Down one position from last year, but Below remains in our hearts though frankly begins to be a little bit of fear of this mysterious but charming title. Expected by 2013, combines exploration, survival, roguelike and fighting, settling in a world full of mysteries, with a bizarre overhead camera that reveals landscapes designed with meticulous care. It could be really one of the most incredible indie titles ever-admitted that bait. We have many items to assume the year 2017 is papabile that just passed by the exit, but don't lose hope.

# 3-Ashen

Last year we had omitted this title from our top 10 most anticipated indie titles because the information was a bit sparse, but the more time passes the more this unusual project seems to be something that we would like to have in our console as soon as possible. The title of Aurora44 presents itself as an open world game grimly but partly abstract, in a very original fantasy world where we will have to fight and survive against dangers of all kinds, with gameplay inspired by giants such as The Legend of Zelda and Shadow of the Colossus . An exclusive indie Microsoft potentially extraordinary: hopefully the 2017 is the year when we can finally play it!

# 2-AER

We are always looking for original and intriguing gaming experiences, and AER is undoubtedly one of the most unique and fascinating things we've seen in recent years: an artistically appealing 3D adventure where a young girl can turn into a bird and explore the strange flying Islands, full of fantastic animals and mysteries to be discovered. We do not yet know a lot about this game, but what we have seen is very impressive and we are keen to find out more!

# 1-Cuphead

As Below , even Cuphead ends for the second year in a row on our list of the most anticipated games, due to a development that seems truly eternal. The year 2017 will be good for this charming platformer game that combines the artistic sensibility of the cartoons years ' 30 to impossibly neat and creative gameplay with boss ultradifficile? I hope with all my heart.

MX Video - Xbox One

Of course this is only a selection of the most anticipated titles, along with many other promising games coming up that might prove even better than those mentioned. We have deliberately avoided list sequel as Outlast 2 and Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey , in favor of new gaming experiences, but worthy of attention are also titles such as Rhymes , Thimbleweed Park , Conan Exiles , Agony , Osiris: New Dawn , Tokyo 42 and italianissimo RedOut Wipeout wannabe. The ball passes to you now: what are the indie titles that are expecting more? Please let us know in the comments!
