Microsoft today announced that in September the Xbox One was the top-selling console in the USA (from NPD data), and this marks the third consecutive month for the console after similar findings in July and September. This is the first time since launching the console manages to gather the top spot in the U.S. market for three consecutive months, and this result is due to the excellent reception from the audience of Xbox One S as well as the strong line-up of Christmas, Forza Horizon 3 first and foremost.

It is likely, however, that this result is repeated with the data of October: sales of Gears of War 4 are indeed doing great and the game is convincing many undecided into buying the console. And as icing on the cake, even in UK Xbox One was found to be the most sold in September.

Obviously this result was also helped by the fact that many loyal Sony and Nintendo are currently awaiting PS4 Pro and NX, leaving a clear field for Xbox. We will continue to look forward to future market developments: stay tuned!
