Tabata: FF XV will consist of 15 chapters, the first open-world and second linear part

In an interview with the Japanese magazine Famitsu, the Director of development of Final Fantasy XV Hajime Tabata explained that the main story of the game will be made up of 15 chapters, and that this will be divided into two parts: the first half will feature an open-world gameplay as that seen so far even in the various demo and the second half of the game will have a more linear structure.

Tabata explained that the team have opted for this solution to ensure that the player wouldn't fall to get bored too in the world open title, taking him in the second half of the game in a more classical-oriented story. The choice of this separation is at least singular, since like many games a more organic solution could be to keep open-world exploration and then make individual linear missions. We'll see how everything will work in the game.

As already announced in the past, however, devote themselves solely to the main story, avoiding all the side quests will engage players for about 40-50 hours, then definitely there will be no shortage of things to do. Please note that recently the game has been postponed for two months and is now attached to 29 November.
