Battlefield 1: SAYS Announces operations mode

Developers were mentioned briefly in the past, but now it's official: Battlefield 1 will include the new mode Operations , which will allow us to earn our progress and scores against the opposing team across multiple match on different maps. And the interesting thing is that it seems that this happens all in-game: the different maps will be related and, once the match on one, it's time to move to the next while we still have the previous map behind us.

We leave you the mode description offered by SAYS, hoping to see you soon in action, probably during the Gamescom.

Fight on multiple maps in Battlefield Operations Mode 1

The operations mode gives a memorable trip on several maps, based on real battles of World War I. We wanted to create an experience vast and epic, focused on team play and fight at the front. Adding this meta-layer at game modes and applying it to various locations, to be addressed in a very different way, we get a sense of scale completely new to the battles of Battlefield 1 . Your team can win on a map and go to the next one, from where you can still see from afar what has just passed.

As attacker feel your commanding officer whistle, when the time comes to launch against the enemy trench. Run side by side with your fellow students, as you approach to opposing positions on foot, with a tank, airplane, ship, or on horseback. As a defender, limber to receive the enemy as soon as you hear the alarm that alerts an imminent attack. You can use the fixed machine guns and cannons, to dispense with the ranks of the enemies approaching.

Attacking forces must conquer and preside over all defensive positions, to gain control of the disputed sector. Once this is done, the defenders fall back to the next sector, where organized. The conditions can vary drastically from one sector to another, since each of them has a variable number of goals to conquer and defend as well as different conformations and steps required.

The assailants must conquer land, pushing the front line, while the defenders try to resist. If they are forced to retreat, the operation will not be closed – it will retool on another map, where the assailants are to continue their action. Even after the fall of many areas, the presence of giant Behemoth can change the tide of the battle.

We wanted to create an experience of Battlefield that is not fragmented, but it could extend past the hour. Something epic and addictive, allowing players to immerse themselves in the first global war, discovering how many battles were actually closely linked together. The fighting in the front line captures the essence of the fighting of World War I, which were based essentially on attempts of conquest and territorial defence.
