This year the series Hitman was the protagonist of an important revolution: instead of releasing a new full game, IO Interactive has started issuing new episodic game, adding on a regular basis new locations, new missions and, thanks to free online, went on to populate the settings already exits with new missions and challenges.

The current one, which in a few days will see the release of the fourth installment , is considered as the "first season" of the game and will include a total of seven episodes which will be also collected on disc for selling physical Edition .

But the episodic adventures of Agent 47 will not stop here: the developers have in fact explained on Twitter that, like in a real TV series, there will be three seasons for the game, which will expand the story than seen in the first season. This however only if Square Enix will estimate that sales of the first season are high enough to justify the financing of subsequent: I have in fact explained that the production of the second season, however, has not yet been confirmed officially.
