Available on Xbox One background music app from USB; Here's how to use it

After it revealed a few days ago, the Xbox Development Director Mike Ybarra announced with a tweet about the availability of the free app that, using the new feature of the operating system to play music in the background, allows us to listen to our songs stored on a thumb drive or USB drive.

Entitled " Simple Background Music Player ", the app is a simple application to test carried out by a member of team Xbox, and because of this it is very basic: did not feature as a playlist, album or even authors and does not allow organization to organize the songs into subfolders; but allows us to start listening to our MP3, awaiting the arrival of more sophisticated apps.

If you search the app in the Store, however, you won't find: this is because for now is available only in the English-speaking countries. You can download it by changing the location of the console: location and language settings "section," change the locations in United States and then select "restart now". After you restart the console you can just open the App Store and search for "background" to find it. Install it and, once finished, reset the console location in Italy by restarting again.

Once the app is ready to perform your songs you create on your USB memory a folder called " Music Library " in which you must copy your songs, no place them into subfolders. Then connect the memory to the console and launch the app that will introduce you to the list of songs to be played.

Once you start playing, you can switch to other applications or games without having the music stop: to adjust the volume of the songs, pause or pass from one to the other simply open the Guide (double tap on the Xbox button) and select the tab "Multitasking", indicated by a musical note.

We leave you with some images showing the app in the Store and in action; good download and enjoy!
