The new gameplay of Gears of War 4 released today by The Coalition showed that Marcus Fenix , who had already been able to see at E3, will also appear during the action of the game even if not as a playable character. The development team has just revealed that the former Sergeant of the COG, and father of the protagonist JD Fenix, you will still be playable in other modes.

Rod Fergusson of The Coalition stated that players will be able to impersonate the famous character in both the competitive multiplayer in the renewed Horde mode; those nostalgic of the old Marcus will have their chance to portray that, and perhaps come back some other historical figure in the series.
