Square Enix announces the arrival of Hitman: Absolution in backwards compatibility on Xbox One

Square Enix has announced, during an interview with the Hitman: Absolution Worthplaying site, which will be backwards compatible on the Xbox One in the near future. No official release date has not been confirmed, but may be available simultaneously with the console output of the new Hitman.

When pressed further on the issue, the spokesman for Square Enix tells us that the company intends to make all games of Xbox 360 backwards compatible on the Xbox One on Hitman and this is definitely a good news for fans of Hitman.

We have already learned last week that Red Dead Redemption, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are probably about to be made backwards compatible; the games were initially available through a trick, but Microsoft has promptly removed access to them until the official announcement that seems to still be close. There only remains to wait for further developments.
