Rumor: Microsoft is working on a remaster of the first Gears of War

As you will recall if we follow consistently, last month, Rod Fergusson of Black Tusk declared that it is not being developed any Gears of War trilogy, ending a series of rumors circulating about; the good Rod is, however, being careful to specify that it was not in a collection development, which did not exclude the remake of a single episode of the series.

And, according to information obtained from Polygon , it seems the case: Microsoft and Black Tusk would be working on a remaster of the first Gears of War (at the same time as the new GoW still expected to end 2016), which sfoggerebbe improved graphics and cut-scene in computer graphics re-create from scratch by Plastic Wax .

The ICXM.net site also claims to have received similar information, adding that Sunday will be a beta (let's assume top secret and private) of the game to test the server: this would assume that the remaster will also have a multiplayer industry supported by dedicated servers.

Since the first Gears of War will be 10 years in 2016, that Microsoft is preparing an Anniversary to launch early next year, so as not to leave the first few months of the year after the big exclusives for Christmas? We should probably wait for E3, in just over a month, to find out what's true in everything: of course we will keep you informed in a timely manner.

Update : the rumor has found further confirmation after some users who are trying the beta have posted an image of the main screen to Kotaku , explaining that it is a multiplayer beta on the following modes: Deathmatch, Team King of the Hill, Shotgun TDM 1v1 single life, Sudden Death 1v1 with Gnashers; TDM 4v4 in Single Round and King of the Hill 4v4 to Single Round.
