Capcom explains: the microtransactions in RE: Revelations 2 will be only for Raid mode

Following the recent information released by Capcom for the much controversial microtransactions in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 , the Japanese software house today wanted to clarify the situation in announcing that microtransactions are not for all game modes but only to "Raid" mode of the new third-person shooter.

In Raid mode, players will have the opportunity to dress up as some of the most famous characters in the Resident Evil series, trying to survive increasing hordes of enemies.

In case of death, the particulars "crystals of life" (the much-discussed affordable objects through microtransactions) will allow players to continue the ongoing mission, rather than from the beginning. So, in a nutshell, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will allow players to pay to continue as if the Raid was a traditional arcade title.

However, Capcom has pointed out that you can earn these "crystals of life" free of charge in the course of daily missions:

"Players can enjoy all that the Raid has to offer, without purchase of crystals of life" , said a spokesman for Capcom.

"I'm not absolutely essential where players must invest to complete the mode."

Waiting for more information, please note the date of release of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 set for 25 February for Xbox and Xbox 360.
