Rumor: Microsoft is considering an adapter for the TV signal on Xbox One?

As you know, Xbox One has the ability to receive the incoming HDMI signal from a satellite or digital terrestrial decoder in order to integrate the television experience inside the console: something that Kingdom to the IR Blaster and One Guide makes more organic watching TV programs with the use of other features of the console. Who uses the decoder built into your TV, remains cut off from this feature because there is no HDMI signal to send to the console.

It seems that Microsoft is thinking about how to solve this problem: in a poll just sent some Italian owners of the console, the company asks if they would be interested in a " adapter that lets you connect the TV signal to One Xbox ": a device which would then connect the cable coming from the antenna, and then send the HDMI signal to the console. In practice a kind of digital terrestrial decoder Xbox branded, similar to what has been done by Sony with its Play TV for PS3 .

The survey, which you can see some pictures below, it is clear that Microsoft is reportedly planning to commercialize the device solely through online purchases, so it's not in stores.

Of course it is possible that this is purely a survey estimate that will not lead to the emergence of a real product, but at least gives us an indication that Xbox makers are considering something. We have to see whether all this will lead to the commercialization of a new accessory for the Xbox One.

A special thanks to our JoJoX user which we reported to the survey.
